Michele Kampen – Principal

Michele took to law as a mature aged student and graduated with an Arts/Law Degree from the University of New England in 2007.

Michele completed further studies and graduated with a Vocational Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution from Charles Sturt University in 2010, attained her Masters Degree in Family Law with the College of Law NSW in 2019 and has recently completed her studies to become an Independent Children’s Lawyer.

Michele’s principle area of practice is family law and is able to assist with other matters if required.

Michele has a passion to help families through the difficult period post separation and helping them move forward.  She understands the emotional rollercoaster that some families may experience and her compassion and ability to engage with her clients ensures that she remains child focused and family orientated.

Outside of the firm, Michele has run her own small business, held the position of President of the local Make a Wish Foundation, been the treasurer of several sporting clubs and volunteers with the Hume Riverina Community Legal Service, until early 2022 she was the Chairperson for the Womens Centre for Health & Wellbeing Albury-Wodonga Inc. and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of her local Country Fire Authority (CFA).  Michele believes in supporting the community in which she lives.

Michele is a volunteer with the CFA and assisted in fighting the fires in northern Victoria in 2019-2020.

Michele’s interests include playing the piano, cooking, listening to jazz while sipping on a local red wine and designing and making quilts.
